Your Greek expedition can start from anywhere, but Athens is literally a blast from the past as you visit Acropolis and its neighborhoods. As you travel towards Islands, you are in a different world in a fabled Mykonos and colorful Santorini. It’s a nonstop beautiful dream as one saunters through the windmills, white Cycladic houses and cliff top houses.

Arrive in Athens and explore the main city around Syntagma square, parliament, changing of the guards etc. And, if you want to relax, a short ride on the tram is the sea front with nice beaches; spend the evening there walking along the promenade with a nice dinner on the wonderful sea front restaurants

Real reason for most people to travel to Athens is a visit to Acropolis, with a gentle walk up the hills thru the neighborhoods, enjoying Ancient Agora, roadside flea markets enhances the experiences. A good exploration of the Acropolis hill will need for more than half a day anyways and is highly recommended as there are many hidden treasures around the main hill.

Surreal Athens experience starts with its neighborhoods, just stroll, get lost, and be pleasantly surprised in maze of narrow medieval streets twist their way through ancient sites, Byzantine churches, offbeat museums, and 19th-century homes. While Plaka is the most tourist heavy, don't forget to take in the Archaeological Promenade, the walkways that starts from Hadrian's Gate past the Acropolis on Dionissiou Areopagitou to the Ancient Agora, experience Thissio & Monastiraki and on to the Kerameikos

A short tram ride takes you to the sea front and beaches. Go to Glyfada or the port city of Piraeus and spend the day lounging on the beach. Enjoy fresh, delicious sea food at a sea front restaurants and head to Cape Sounion to watch the sunset at the Temple of Poseidon. This is the southernmost tip of the mainland and is a magnificent sight to behold

Drive to the ancient site of Meteora, but first make a pit stop at Delphi. Stand in the shadow of Mount Parnassus and you can almost feel the ancient oracles come to life. Meteora means “suspended in the air” and the 14th and 15th century monasteries here indeed seem suspended on the magnificent cliffs

Tread off the beaten path and explore this often overlooked part of the countryside. See the picture perfect town of Napflio beneath the towering Palamidi fortress. Stop at the Corinth Canal on the way to see this engineering marvel. Spend some time in the Peloponnese peninsula to see ancient Olympia and other settlements and castles in an untouched natural setting

Walking through the main village of Mykonos, narrow streets, getting lost, coming out again in front of that charming restaurant, a house, or a chic shop, all painted in white and blue; it’s like a never ending dream and it’s difficult to miss the famous wind mills, Little Venice, and all the main attractions

The Best golden sandy beaches in Mediterranean with transparent waters, and with innumerable choices, everyone can find a beach that fits their taste. The beaches on the south shore of the island have the best sand, while the north coast beaches are less developed but just as beautiful and most suitable for those in search of a bit of calm

A layered cake with multi colored cliffs will corner your imagination, and main island of Thira will take your breath away with its snow-drift of white Cycladic houses lining the cliff tops. Go deep into the history while visiting fascinating Minoan site of Akrotiri, a city that was lost in 1600 volcanoes, and enjoy the evening with the colorful orange and red reflection of the sun on the buildings

The beaches in Santorini are different than other islands as Red and black volcanic pebbles lay the shores of Santorini beaches and steep cliffs provide a picturesque ambience. The most famous is the Red beach, while you would not want to miss the particularly popular ones - Perissa, Kamari and Perivolos. At the north of the island, the postcard-perfect village of Oia is famed for its sunsets but for nightlife you’re best to base yourself in Fira as most of the clubs are around
