A different way to discover the majestic landscape of Lavaux – the wine growing region of Switzerland with superb view of the Alps, Lake Geneva, and French villages on the other side of the lake. Lavaux is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and while many prefer to walk along the paved trails, stopping by to taste the wines directly from the cellars, the Lavaux Express is a tourist train that takes you through the hillsides on the tyred wheels. On the way, travelers can learn about the characteristics of the region as they admire the spectacular landscape.
Trains operate from March to October, and start from departure points at Lutry, Cully with different schedules. It is recommended to reserve the seats on the train in advance.
